TM4C123GE6PM: GPIO output voltage abnormal

Part Number: TM4C123GE6PM

Hi Champ,

I am asking for my customer. Sorry for that, I am not familiar with TM4C this product.

My customer set the GPIO as output, and found out the output voltage is only about 1~1.5V(the normal voltage is 3.3V).

I am asking my customer to do a ABA swap test and to provide the schematic.

May I have any support or suggested confirmation of my customer issue ?

Figure 1 is the failing waveform. Figure 2 is the normal operation

Yellow waveform : The module has passed the 3.3V of hotswap ; Green : GPO ; Blue : PNPO

  (Figure 1:Fail)

  (Figure 2:normal)

Thanks and regards.

  • Hi Johnny,

That is definitely not normal at all. I would need to know more about what they are connecting to and driving to be able to really offer any guidance here. I think an ABA swap is very helpful. Also it would be good to understand how many boards have been tested vs how many are exhibiting this behavior.

Also would be interested how they are configuring the I/O including what the drive strength is versus what they are trying to drive. Any details on how much current the target is pulling from TM4C would be good to understand as well.

  • Hi Ralph,

Thanks for your reply and suggestion.

Once the customer has new progress, I will update with you.

    Best Regards,
