AM2431: PMIC support - LP87334DRHDR

I been trying to purchase the LP87334DRHDR for a new AM2431 project and was not able to procure any parts as they don't seem to be available.

Are there any other cost effective solutions which TI can suggest for powering the AM2431 that can be purchased.

Hi,

In addition to the LP8733xx PMICs, we also recommend the TPS65218xx PMICs. Please see this appnote for additional details:
Using LP8733xx and TPS65218xx PMICs to Power AM64x and AM243x Sitara Processors

Also, if you are ok with a discrete power solution instead of using a PMIC, you can take a look at the power solution implemented on the LP-AM263 for reference on what parts are used and how the power sequencing requirements are met.

Thank you for suggesting the TPS65218xx PMICs and the app note. Unfortunately the TPS65218xx PMICs are also unavailable to buy and I cant seem to find an accurate lead time to purchase them. It sounds like it leaves me with doing it with discreet supplies and carefully controlling the power up and power down timing.

Hi,

You can always try reaching out to your local TI sales rep to see if they can help you any with availability on the PMICs. But if that doesn't help, a discrete power solution is probably going to be your best bet.
