LAUNCHXL2-TMS57012: Trouble with "target endianness" using the LAUNCHXL2-TMS57012 core RM46

Part Number: LAUNCHXL2-TMS57012
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LAUNCHXL2-RM46

Good afternoon,

I am having an issue running a sample code that is meant to be for the Launchpad TMS570. The link I went to for the sample code is https://git.ti.com/cgit/hercules_examples/hercules_examples/tree/ . In order to get the sample code, I went to root/Launchpad/570LS/570LS12/Project_0 and clicked on commit to download the code. I opened the project on CCS and attempted to debug it but I receive an error that states ...Project0.out Does not match the target endianness, not loaded...

I've already tried changing the core processor but that did not solve the issue.

Also tried on different versions of CCS but still nothing.

A partner of mine tried the code with their Launchpad and it worked properly. I noticed that they have different processors, one being the RM46 and the other one TMS570LS. On the box of the RM46 the description says LAUNCHPAD TMS570LS12X EVAL BRD, so I wanted to know if the two launchpads where interchangeable or if there is a way to not receive the error by changing some setting on CCS. If not how am I able to tell which processor will come in the TMS570 before purchasing the product.

Thank you,

Fernando Dominguez
