RM42L432: IO specification for I2C pins

Part Number: RM42L432

In the RM42L432 datasheet we find under 5.9 the IO electrical characteristics:

V_IL (low level input voltage) is max 0.8V

If we look at the I2C specification https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/user-guide/UM10204.pdf - table 10:

V_IL (low level input voltage) is max 0.3 x VDD, in my case VDD=3.3V, so V_IL should be 1.0V max according to I2C standard

Background to this question is, that we use a I2C isolator IC, that has a max output low voltage of 900mV, which would be compliant with the I2C standard but not within the the limits of RM42L432 input specification.

Can TI comment on this, that the RM42 is not I2C fully compliant?
