AM2634-Q1: plan for IEEE1588 and 802.1AS of CPSW

Dear Champs,

Do we have a plan to release time sync related SW like below IEEE1588 and 802.1AS for CPSW of AM263x?

All basic communication including command will be through ethernet in my customer's system(Automotive) and they requested time sync feature on ethernet and its validation.Please let me know if we have a plan for IEEE1588 and 802.1 AS on CPSW of AM263x.

    Hi SI,

    As of now, we only support a minimal “test” implementation of PTP functionality in our SDK – intent being to validate the CPTS driver support and also measure accuracy of synchronization.

    Our plan is to integrate a product worthy version of the PTP stack and for this we are engaging with our 3P partner.

    We are in the process of aligning on the scope and execution plan for this – and I expect that we close on the discussion over the next 1-2 weeks timeframe.

     For now I suggest we respond back to the customer clarifying their use case need(would also like to understand if they have AVB support needs).

    If needed we can have a follow-up as well next week
