TMS570LS0432: Have the TMS570LS0432 MCU CAN auto-addressing function?

Hi,I use the TMS57LS0432 MCU and bq76PL455EVM to do BMS research.

I find the document "Design Guide: TIDA-020032" the module support CAN auto-addressing function.

Have the TMS570LS0432 MCU support same CAN auto-addressing function? Or it can Implemented in software?

If have any document can study please show me,I'm very appreciate.

Hi Kuanlei,

The CAN module uses message arbitration or ID instead of address.

The CAN controller has message filtering (ID mask) which means that uninteresting messages are dropped before they reach to the message objects.

Can you please provide more details regarding the auto-addressing used in TIDA-020032? Does this TI design use TMS570 MCU?

HI,Thanks reply me.

TIDA-020032 is not use the TMS570 MCU , I just example the document write the features CAN auto-addressing.

I want use the TMS570 MCU Implemented CAN auto-addressing function.

For example：I have 3 devices A , B, C, and each device have their own CAN ID.

When B device is break, I change the new device, the new device can auto-addressing the CAN ID.

I understand your answer.

The CAN ID is already set in the message box.

One-by-one set, A, B ,C device have own ID, if the device break , I just change the new board,it can also work normal.
