We need to send data every 1.6ms in proprietary mode at 2.4GHz with CC2640R2 development kit, But When I call the function "RF_ runCmd()" sends data, it takes 2.2ms to return to "RF_ EventLastCmdDone" result.How to send data every 1.6ms in proprietary mode at 2.4GHz with CC2640R2F development kit?

Here is my test method:
(1).use example: ti\simplelink_cc2640r2_sdk_5_30_00_03\examples\rtos\CC2640R2_LAUNCHXL\drivers\rfPacketTx\rfPacketTx_CC2640R2_LAUNCHXL_tirtos_ccs;
(2).radio configuration: 250Kbps，premble=1byte, sync word=4bytes,payload=8bytes,cyc=2bytes. 15 bytes in total, theoretical time 480us;
(3).The function "RF_ runCmd()" actual test needs 2.2ms.

Hi pengfei,

I can observe ~.994 ms with a packet payload of 8 bytes and 250 kbps throughput, using a while loop which simply repeats RF_runCmd and GPIO_toggle (this API could be removed for further time reduction). There is some overhead incurred by using the RF TI Driver library, see the respective TI Drivers Runtime APIs. You could consider chaining RF TX commands which you can read more about in the Proprietary RF User's Guide.

I can observe 0.994 ms。Because the RF is turned off when every time the data is sent.

I want to try to further reduce the data sending time by at least 100-200us，Is it possible？or is there any other way to send data except RF_runCmd?

You can use the asynchronous RF_postCmd and chain commands. A link to both useful documents has been provided in the previous reply.

RF_pendCmd synchronizes the calling task to the RF_postCmd, therefore successfully accomplishing RF_runCmd with two function calls. RF_postCmd() posts a radio operation into the driver's internal command queue, the command is dispatched as soon as the RF core has completed any previous radio operation command.
