MSPM0G3107: power problem

Part Number: MSPM0G3107

dear

Background: Power Policy is STANDBY0, TIMA0 is configured in PWM mode, DL events are published to event Channel 1, ADC subscribes to this channel as the sampling trigger source, stops Tima0(DL) and ADC (DL) after running for a few seconds, turn both off (disablePower) , force the PWM output down, and call WFI sleep.

At this time the current is 1.3 Ma, which is not expected, the power consumption is obviously too large. Based on the above background, with the TIMA0 publishing event cancelled (without calling the DL enable event or without calling the DL connect event channel) , the current during hibernation in Standby0 mode is 0.1 ma, which is expected.

Question: Why does a Tima0 release event cause sleep power to increase? It should not be expected. Information on the chip: 23AJ41WG4 XMOG Reva

         thanks  in advace

  • Hi Raymond,

How are you disabling the TIMA0? I could see the device being pulled out of low power mode if for some reason the TIMA0 interrupt/event or any ADC interrupts/events are still being triggered mistakenly.

Some more background that might be helpful, how is your TIMA0 configured, and are you working off an example project at all?

    Best Regards,
