1. In the 8.6 sdk, only profinet_ device\icss_ Fwal, there is no profinet demo provided. May I know where to obtain the profinet demo project or when it will be released？

2.Do PN protocol stacks require external DDR？

Profinet demo will not be part of SDK 8.6. It will released as a patch on top of 8.6. The schedule for the same is not finalized yet. I will notify here once we have it out, or else you can check on ti.com page

Yes the current memory foot print of PN stack is more than 2MB, so it will require DDR.

Could you please tell me what is your use case, we also have 3rd part like TMG who enable PN stack under 2MB which will not need DDR.

We have plans to optimize the PN stack, timeline for same in 2024

we also have 3rd part like TMG who enable PN stack under 2MB which will not need DDR.

The previous SDK used Kunbus's PN protocol stack, but it was no API to obtain user configuration information on PORTAL. Could you provide the TMG‘s PN protocol stack DEMO for AM2434 .Is it free, and has it passd the PN testing and certification？

Yes they have already passed the certification. For demo you need to contact TMG, and they will be charging a fee.

Such as translate ECAT or EIP or PN protocol communication to modbus communication .

An estimate plan is to get it out by end of this month.

This demo needs to be run on am243x gp evm, as the memory requirement is for more than 2MB.

The licensing is not yet finalized. I apologize for the inconvenience caused due to logistical delay on our side.

Given the nature of problem, it is quite difficult for us to communicate the exact dates.
