TM4C123GH6PGE: MCU is holding the reset pin low

Part Number: TM4C123GH6PGE

Hello,

I am using TM4C series MCU. Everything was working normally. I pulled the reset pin to low and left it then i can not connection mcu. I've done it many times before and it's never been a problem. Then, when I checked it later, I saw the reset pin low. I checked pull-up resistor and capacitor but there was any problem this component. then, i tried that reset pin connect direct 3.3V without resistor. it worked as a result but , not using resistors is dangerous.  i attached my design for reset pin circuit. Why could this have happened? How can I fix?

Thanks

  • Hi,

How many of your boards do you see the same problem? What is the percentage? From the schematic point of view, I don't really see a problem. Is it possible that you have a bad soldering connection?  Is the RC placed as close as possible to the RST pin? Can you do an experiment to change the R3 to 1Kohm or less?  I think that will help due to its stronger pullup.
