TMS570LS3134: The meaning of Port 0 and Port 1 in the PBIST section of the document is unclear

Part Number: TMS570LS3134

Hello,

Chapter 7 in this document is related to PBIST. We want to know what errors Port0 and Port1 refer to.

A Port0 failure appeared in 7.5.6, and Port 0 and Port 1 appeared again in 7.5.7, 7.5.8, and 7.5.9

Regards,

Gary

  • Hi Gary,

As you can see the memory type, some of the memories are dual port memories.

Each of the 2 ports are for 32bits so in the Hercules family of products which has 64-bit wide RAM banks, both ports are used. So, for these kinds of memories the error can be on either of the port, right? So, we have port 0 and port 1 failure registers to indicate the error on which port.
