Uart com port is not available in our board. I think the device type I'm using is hs-fs only.

I have tried Ti uniflash. But I'm getting the below error.

[ERROR] CS_DAP_0: Error initializing emulator: (Error -2083 @ 0x0) Unable to communicate with the debug probe.
Confirm debug probe configuration and connections, reset the debug probe, and retry the operation.
(Emulation package 12.7.0.00130)

Can't find the source of error causing the error.

Now I'm facing the error.

[ERROR] Cortex_R5_0: Please check the boot mode, CCC string was not coming !!

My boot mode is in dev boot mode. I have done  SOC initialization using CCS scripting and disconnected the R5 Core from CCS before flashing the image from UNIFLASH.

Hello,

You have probably initiated a Serial session which tries flashing over UART. You need to select the JTAG option to flash over JTAG. The JTAG connection is selected if you choose the device with On-Chip type.

I have flashed the sbl image and and application image. Kept the device in ospi boot mode. But after flashing I'm not able to see boot prints on the teraterm.

You need to flash to OSPI before booting from it.

This is actually a known bug. You may do the following workaround:

1) Copy the "am243x_alv_flasher.out" from the path shown in the image to "C:/ti"

2) Update the path to the flasher as shown

Since you are using custom board, could you please let me know if you are using a custom flash part and have eMMC on your board?

According to that, did you change something in sbl_jtag_uniflash to make it work for your custom board?

Thanks for your response. Sorry for my delay. Yes, I'm using custom flash of S25HL512TFAMHI010 part number. There is no emmc on by board. only SD card slot is there. I have changed the flash settings in sysconfig. In the example sbl_jtag_uniflash_am243x-lp_r5fss0-0_nortos_ti-arm-clang, they are using the same flash S25HL512TFAMHI010. I have used that same values in my example sbl_jtag_uniflash_am243x-evm_r5fss0-0_nortos_ti-arm-clang.

Hi Kathiresa,

Whatever changes you did in the sbl_jtag_uniflash example to make it work for your custom board will have to propagated as it is to the tools/flasher/jtag_uniflash/am243x-evm example. Once done, build the example and copy the generated .out file to C:\ti and perform the flashing procedure again.

That's expected. Please load the symbols to see where the core is stuck:

Run -> Load -> Load Symbols... -> Browse -> <MCU_PLUS_SDK_PATH>/.../flasher_jtag_uniflash.*.out

Since you had the flashing successful with SBL_JTAG_UNIFLASH, what was the exact bootmode you were trying to boot from flash? It may be the case, the flashing was indeed successful but you might not have used the correct bootmode?
