Hi Team ,

I have purchased two XDS110 programmers, but only one is working. The other one does not start at all.

I requested a replacement, but my request was declined due to "failure analysis not provided for EVMs." I was also advised to negotiate the request together with the E2E-Forum, as reviewed by TI.

I have attached a summary of the review form for your reference.

Could you please provide guidance on how to proceed with this issue?

Hello Ankush,

Have you tried the XDS probe with multiple USB cables and on multiple PCs and not gotten the LED to light up on any of them?

Thank you for your reply.

I have tried multiple times with different USB cables and on various PC systems, but none of the LEDs on the faulty XDS110 programmer light up.

Could you suggest any other ways to test the device or resolve this issue?

Hello Ankush,

No I don't have further suggestions to test the device, it's clearly faulty and should be RMA'd.

Use this E2E post as proof that TI engineers have reviewed the state of the product and agreed that the device in question should be replaced.

They are still rejecting my request to replacement by saying this

"Declined : failure analysis is not provided for EVMs-Dear Customer, thanks that you move to E2E for clarification. As I wrote inside my former message, "When they approve your request, than please contact the customer support center via ticsc.service-now.com/csm Regards"

I have shared a link of our discussion ,please let know how to send your conformation to them that debugger is faulty .

Hello Ankush,

Have you created a ticket with the Customer Support Center? If not you need to do so at https://ticsc.service-now.com/csm. That is the process for RMAs of EVMs like TMDSEMU110-U.

Hello Ankush,

What you've created is for silicon related failures / returns, you need to open a new, separate ticket with CSC specific to EVM RMA.

Hello Ankush,

The PDF you attached is the submission document for silicon related RMA process. This is a separate process from EVM RMA process.

Basically you submitted the wrong return process for the device you need to return. Two different teams handle these returns because they are very different in nature.

Create a new ticket via https://ticsc.service-now.com/csm

In the ticket explain you are requesting RMA for an EVM and provide part number and E2E post.
