Dear TI team,
We are developing software for the TMS5704357BGWTEP (TMS570LC4357-EP) processor, supporting an aircraft manufacturer. All software needs to be developed following civil aerospace guidance (RTCA DO-178C). One of the functions we are developing requires saving data on the micro-controller internal flash. We came to the conclusion that developing our own source code for the flash driver is not an option (TI does not support that options and require user to the F021 flash API an associated binary).
This request is to:
- Confirm the above statement (essentially that the F021 driver is our only option)?
- Assuming the answer to the above statement is yes, and that no DO-178C life-cycle data is available for the F021, they will need to develop some data (requirement, tests...) to support the qualification of the F021 Flash API: F021_API_CortexR4_BE_L2FMC_V3D16_NDS.lib, F021_API_CortexR4_BE_V3D16.lib. They understand that, under NDA, they can audit the source code, which will help with the lifecycle data development. They would therefore like to set this in motion.
