DLP2021AM263Q1EVM: Using optical engine from DLP2021LEQ1EVM on DLP2021AM263Q1EVM

Is the optical engine that comes with the DLP2021LEQ1EVM compatible with the DLP2021AM263Q1EVM? The illumination LED connections seem different (header vs ribbon connector) so I assume an adapter board is required but would like to confirm.

    Hi Will,

    Yes, the optics are compatible. The DLP2021AM263Q1EVM kit comes with an adapter board, the DLP096:

    It screws onto the pegs that would normally attach the optics to the DLP2021LEQ1EVM.

    Thanks Andrew! We have purchased the DLP2021AM263Q1EVM kit but there was no adapter board, fasteners or jumper cables. What is the best way to get our hands on these items?

    Hi Will,

    I'm sorry, but I completely misread the kit contents! The DLP096 listed in my screenshot above is the main board for the EVM, not the adapter. The adapter is specifically the "DLP096 LED Adapter", and is not included.

    Since I was wrong before I can go ahead and send you one of the adapters if you'd like. Just send me an email at a-thomas2@ti.com and we can sort that out.

    Alternatively, we include the design files for the adapter in the "DLP2021AM263Q1EVM Design Files" link on the EVMs page on ti.com so that you can order/manufacture your own.
