MSPM0G1107: code request

Part Number: MSPM0G1107
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-010262,

Hi Team,

The customer is currently evaluating an SPE switch that needs to support PoDL.
We found a recommended circuit on TI’s website (TIDA-010262).

May we ask if the MCU MSPM0G1107 used in the circuit will have code provided, or does it need to be developed by ourselves?

  • The gateway is controlled by the AM6442 microprocessor and utilizes the Linux® operating system, allowing for flexible and scalable open-source software.

This is not a MSPM0 level application and all code running in Linux, I think you can try to migrate Linux application to MSPM0 manually.

But not all feature will be supported on M0 platform since there are too much performance difference between AM64x and MSPM0.

First thing that you need to decide is what's feature do you need on M0 platform.

One MSPM0 to drive four port serial communication classification (SCCP)

Or do you mean this part of code?

This code is not maintain by MSPM0, let me move this thread to AM64x team.

  • Hi Tommy,

What is the requirement of the switch, this should be the starting question,

SPE+PoDL is the physical layer interface, which can be done using TI PHYs like

So from MCU recommendation side you can look at

AM263P4 and AM261x. - These MCUs have an integrated switch inside the microcontroller SoC

    PHY(PoDL+SPE you can look at)

May we ask if the MCU MSPM0G1107 used in the circuit will have code provided, or does it need to be developed by ourselves?

We this can be provided from our side.

Let me know, if you have more questions
