Compatibility across TIVA TM4C123X series

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TM4C1233H6PM, TM4C123GH6ZRB, TM4C1236H6PM, TM4C123BH6PM, TM4C1230H6PM

Hello all.

We are going to buy stock for launching our first product based on LM4F (TIVA) microcontrollers.

Our usual supplier of TI, told us that they do not have in stock the TM4C1233H6PM chip, which is the corresponding of the LM4F120H5QR chip (the one in the Stellaris Launchpad) in which we developed our product.

However, they have pointed us some others in stock like the TM4C1230H6PM, the TM4C123BH6PM, the TM4C1236H6PM or the the TM4C123GH6ZRB.

Since we are not using the USB capacities, would our bin file, generated under Stellarisware because of CMSIS, work on any of them? Do they have a compatible memory map?

Is it required to change anything or compile for it in CCS?

Thank you.

  • If you are not using USB, any part ending in H6PM should work for you.  The binary would be the same.

    The H6ZRB device is a 157-ball BGA.

Thank you Randy, but we are running some tests and when we are changing from running our code in the Stellaris Launchpad into the new TIVA C Launchpad, the software runs but we are not receiving interrupts from the Kentec screen. The rest of the functionalities seem to work ok.

It is the same bin file.

Do you know why is that? Thank you
