Using an ek-lm4f120xl without the debugger

I am attempting to use the ek-lm4f120xl launchpad (as far as I can tell identical to the ek-tm4c123gxl) and it seems as though it isn't running the software that I program it with in ccs when it isn't running under the debugger in ccs. I am powering it properly with the usb device port and switching the power source slider switch accordingly. The power light turns on, however none of the functionality (which I have tested when running the debugger) is present.

I am not sure what do you mean but I encountered similar troubles, launchpad if not attached to an USB HUB or a port doesn't work and remain locked.

120XL and 123gxl are different, the first has just usb device the last OTG functionality and few other I don't remember due to obsolescence of device.

I was aware of, Thank pointing to that. A lot of work has to come to clean up all code and silicon/board issue and I bet other can earn this on fighting.

The problem might be there is nothing in your project which sets the interrupt vectors in flash. See stellaris launchpad not running after reset for more details.

Hello Chester,

When you connect the debugger can you check the NVIC_FAULTSTAT and NVIC_FAULTADDR register. In the past there have been a few cases where the same was happening and it turned out that after enabling the clock to a peripheral a wait was not added causing a Bus Fault
