TM4C1294: design powerd by PoE

Hi community,

I have to design a board with the TM4C1294. This board should be powered by PoE. All design examples use the Pulse HX1188NL as lan transformer. This is a non PoE transformer.

Question: can I use the Pulse H2019NL (this is a PoE lan transformer we used in the past with the LM3S6611) with the integrated PHY of the TM4C1294 ?

Have anyone an other sugestion for the right PoE LAN TRANSFORMER ?

Hello Andres,

You may use H2019NL, but the Compliance testing with this transformer for TM4C1294 has not been done.

Hi Andres,

did you manage to make the design work with H2019?

I have made a circuit with TM4C1294NCPDT & HX2019FNL, it worked for some minutes (i.e. the link LED used to light), but not anymore.
I'm not a professional, it's possible that I haven't designed something well, that's why I'd like to know if someone has managed to make it work with PoE.

I'm sorry, we don't have realized a new design using the TM4C1294KCPDT and the H2019NL. Our 'old' design with the LM3S6611 and the H2019NL works fine.

The new design is one of our next projects, may be in Q3/2015. I wil post here the results of our implementation.

They seem to work fine together!

Hi Gergely,

our board using HX2019NL with TM4C1294KCPDT also works!
I 've done first tests using TI-RTOS, no problems found yet.
