Microcontroller with two LIN interfaces

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS570LC4357, TMS470MF06607, TMS470MF04207, TMS470MF03107

Hi,

is there any overview about all TI Microcontroller with two LIN interfaces?

Only found TMS570LC4357.

Many thanks in advance
Benjamin

  • Benjamin,

You can got to the Hercules product folder on TI.com and fiilter the entire product list by peripeheral count.

    For example:

  • Thanks Anthony.

When i do this, i only found TMS570LC4357 mentioned in my first post.

In the other Microcontroller product lists there is no option "LIN".

Is it possible to search for "LIN" in other Microcontrollers product lists?

    Many thanks in advance
    Benjamin

  • Hello Benjamin,

Do you need SIL3? If not, we have the TMS470M line of devices (TMS470MF06607, TMS470MF04207, TMS470MF03107) which are all pin compatible with 2 LIN instantiations. They are 80MHz Cortex M3 based devices ranging from 256KB to 640KB of flash. They have limited safety features such as ECC, Peripheral Parity, Memory BIST, Logic/CPU BIST but only single core (no lockstep). Basically, they may still be capable of being used in a SIL system but, without some of the advanced features of the TMS570s, the burden of safety shifts more to the system design. You can check them out more to see if they would meet your needs by reviewing the datasheets on their respective product pages.

I'm not certain why LIN is not listed as a peripheral on them in the product selector.
