TM4C processor with <10mA peak run current @ 10-20MHz

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TM4C123GH6PM, TM4C123FE6PM

Hi,

Background:
I am looking for a TM4C processor with the following features:

  1. M3/M4 Core
  2. 2 CAN transceivers
  3. <10mA peak run current @10-20MHz
  4. Flash 128K to 256K
  5. RAM 32K-64K

Things that I've done:

  • I have been looking into TM4C123XX family datasheets and I came across TM4C123GH6PM and TM4C123FE6PM. They meet all the specs except for <10mA peak run current consumption

Question:

1. Is there a TM4C processor that meets all the specifications?

Thank you in advance.

Your post reminds us of famed G'ovt testimony, "Depends on what "IS" is!"

Should "peak run current consumption" be defined as that current drawn - when MCU's system clock is set to 20MHz - and executing the most MCU intensive code - and "such a specification exists and reports beyond your desire" - you may be stuck.

Often the, "average current consumption" plays a greater - and more meaningful role - while enabling multiple, "power saving strategies." (i.e. sleep, deep sleep etc.)    You may wish to consult again w/client - and probe as to why a "peak current" (however brief) trumps the far more normal/customary "average current!"

Is it not the "average current" - over time - which usually is the, "Battery Killer?"    So long as any "peak currents" remain w/in system spec - their importance may be over-rated...

As you are w/in vendor's "fold" - might your consideration of older MSP family (noted for low power consumption) prove a superior, "Port of vendor's MCU call?"
