is there any specific hardware or IC in HDK for supporting the Halcogen tool???. is it possible to work without halcogen tool??

Hi Manjunathan

HALCoGen is a Code generator, it does not have any link to the HDK, it is standalone PC based tool. All it does is to generate drivers for the user based on the configurations for a particular device.

Yes it is possible to develop without HALCoGen.
The only thing HALCoGen does is create source files, header files and linker commands.
It generates the startup code for your controller and the init code for all the peripherals that you select - based on configuration you do in HALCoGen.
It also generates an API for the peripherals.

You can work without all of that. In that case you have to provide all of that startup, initialization and module API code yourself.
