Does ECC Flash Error Detection (not correction) need to generate the data with nowECC for the RM46?

    Hi,
    Yes, whether you use correction mode or only detection mode you must have both the data and the ECC. The CCS has the auto-ECC feature that will generate and program the ECC for you when you load your program. If you do not use CCS and wish to use a standalone tool to generate the ECC then you can use the Uniflash. I think TI is promoting Uniflash over nowECC. You should be able to use nowECC but I will suggest that you migrate to Uniflash for better support.
