TMS570LS1225: Can I share the single crystal frequency Oscillator between multiple TMS570 Microcontrollers ?

Hi All,
In our current project, We have two microcontrollers in the same PCB(Single Euro PCB Size).
Is it possible to share a single crystal frequency oscillator across two TMS570 microcontrollers?

    Hi Saravanakumar,

    You could program one TMS570 to output the oscillator frequency on the ECLK pin and connect that to the OSCIN pin of the other TMS570. You have to be careful about ringing effects during board layout in this case.

    Importantly, please note that this is probably not the right solution if you have any sort of redundancy / checking performed using the two TMS570 MCUs for functional safety requirements.
