TMS570LS0714-S: An application to the gas turbine engine controller MCU.

Hello,

We are planning to employ the TMS570LS0714 device as an MCU for the gas turbine engine controller.

However I am not quite sure whether the TMS570 device is most appropriate for an application to the gas turbine engine controller MCU.

Please recommend me another TI MCU if it is more appropiate than the TMS570 device.

    TMS570 MCUs are used in many applications requiring conformance to functional safety standards, including aerospace. We cannot share specific customer information for obvious reasons.

    You can also look at the TMS570LS3137-EP (www.ti.com/.../TMS570LS3137-EP) part if you require an expanded temperature range of -55C to 125C.

    From the wiki I have found out two contemporary functional safety standards which are related to the avionics products.
    They are as follows:
    (1) US RTCA DO-178C North American Avionics Software
    (2) US RTCA DO-254 North American Avionics Hardware
    Would you please explain me how the TMS570 MCUs address DO-178C and DO-254 listed above?

    We provide evidence for meeting the requirements for IEC 61508 and ISO 26262 functional safety standards. System designers for end equipment requiring conformance to other functional safety standards use the collateral that TI provides to put together their own safety case for an assessment of their systems.
