RM48L530: Low power dissipation or underclocking mode

Part Number: RM48L530

Hello,

Our customer is asking if there is Low power dissipation or underclocking mode for RM48L530? if have, how to configure or setup ? thanks a lot.

  • Hello,

The device supports global power down control through the Peripheral Central Resource (PCR) module PSPWRDWNx registers. Using these registers you can gate-off peripheral clock to the individual modules. When peripheral clock is gated-off registers are not accessible.
Some of the modules has their own power down. A local power-down only gates the clock off to the state machine within the module. The registers can still be accessed and the CPU can take the module out of local power-down by setting/clearing the local power-down control bit.

Hercules MCUs support 3 low-power mode: Doze, Snooze, and Sleep. These modes (and how to enter in these modes) are described in Chapter 2.4.3 of Device TRM ( www.ti.com/.../spnu503c.pdf ) .

    Best regards,
    Miro
