SW-DK-TM4C129X: TM4c129 internal memory read/write

We are using tm4c129 evaluation kit and with default source code and flashing process.

We wanted to writer certain data into the remaining internal memory which is available in the chip.

Please let us know how do we read/write into the internal memory of the tm4c which is 1MB.

Hi Deepanraj,

Please go to section 12 in the TivaWare Peripheral Driver library user's guide for details. You can use the FlashProgram() and FlashErase() APIs to write data to the internal flash. Below is example. You can find the below example in the user's guide too.

uint32_t pui32Data[2];
//
// Erase a block of the flash.
//
FlashErase(0x800);
//
// Program some data into the newly erased block of the flash.
//
pui32Data[0] = 0x12345678;
pui32Data[1] = 0x56789abc;
FlashProgram(pui32Data, 0x800, sizeof(pui32Data));

Hi,
The flash memory is memory mapped starting at 0x0. Reading from flash is no different than reading from RAM or peripherals. You just read from it.

Hi,
You can try something like:
uint32_t *pui32Read = (uint32_t *)0x800; // Where 0x800 is the flash location that you program the data in the flash
