TMS570LS3135: TMS5703137DZWTQQ1 NHET1 pin occurring at 2 places

Part Number: TMS570LS3135

HI

This query is relating to TMS5703137DZWTQQ1 . there are pins assigned for  337BGA pakage as follows.

N2HET1[17] A13
MIBSPI1NCS[1]/N2HET1[17]/MII_COL F3

In Both the case i can see N2HET1 pin . Iam finding it hard to understand the purpose of having NEHT1[17] and some similar pins at 2 different places in the same controller . can i just use A13 and leave F3 open and unused.

Thank you

  • Hello,

By default N2HET1[17] is exposed on ball A13. Where the ball is exposed depends on appropriate PINMMR ( for the A13 PINMMR24 and for the F3 PINMMR20 ).

The particular signal N2HET1[17] is one of the signals that has both input and output multiplexing so when using it you should be careful that F3 pin functionality was not set to N2HET1[17] if you want to use A13.

More on I/O multiplexing could be found in TRM, Section 4.3 .
