TMS570LS10106: Timing Requirements TMS570

Part Number: TMS570LS10106

Hello,

We use TMS570, (S5LS10106ASPGEQQ1) in several products and are now investigating to replace the 1.5V oscillator, which we have soursing problems with.

The oscillator we use is 20 MHz with frequency tolerance of 50 ppm.

According to the data sheet page 67: "Timing Requirements" f (OSCRST) Min = 20 MHz.

Theoretically and maybe practically, the frequency may be less than 20 MHz by a few ppm.

Could you please advice if that will this generate problems? Are there any tolerances within the specified range 20-50 MHz?

Sincerely
// Tammam

  • Both the maximum crystal frequency specification of 20MHz and the minimum oscillator fail upper frequency limit of 20MHz have enough margin to allow use of a 20MHz crystal with a 50 part per million (ppm) frequency tolerance.
