TMS320F28388D: SDxFLTx.COMPL/H in ePWM X-BAR Mux

Part Number: TMS320F28388D

Hi champs,

In ePWM X-BAR Mux Configuration Table, we can select SD1FLT1.COMPH connecting to ePWM DC submodule.

The SDFM in F2838x supports two COMPH signals (COMPH1 and COMPH2) per channel, which one is connected to ePWM X-BAR? Is there only one SDFM comparator output connected to ePWM X-BAR?

Regards,

Luke

  • They are marked as SD1/2/3 then  FLT1/2/3 then COMPH

  • Nima,

The SDFM comparator filter unit design is different between F2837x and F2838x devices.

In F2837x, each SDFM comparator filter unit supports COMPH and COMPL signals and these signals are connected to ePWM X-BAR.

In F2838x, each SDFM comparator filter unit supports COMPHZ, COMPH1, COMPH2, COMPL1 and COMPL2 signals. So, I suppose there should be something different in ePWM X-BAR design, but TRM only show SDxFLTx.COMPH and SDxFLTx.COMPL, etc, like F2837x TRM does.

I would like to know which F2838x SDFM comparator filter outputs are connected to ePWM X-BAR, please advise, thanks.

    Regards,

    Luke

  • is our SDFM experts.

BUT from looking at the diagrams, it looks like you can select what is connected to COMPH and COMPL.

You can select between COMPH1, 2

There seem to be a mux for selecting the signal.
