LAUNCHXL-F28379D: TIDM-1010(BOOSTXL-POSMGR) using two absolute encoder

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-F28379D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDM-1010, BOOSTXL-POSMGR
Hi,
I am using LAUNCHXL-F28379D and TIDM-1010 (www.ti.com/.../TIDM-1010) device in my project.
I am able to read positon with bissc absolute encoder from PM_bissc_SystemTes example.
I want to use two encoder by using TIDM-1010(BOOSTXL-POSMGR) .
According to tidm 1010 features , I can use 2 absolute encoder, simultaneously. Am I rigt?
However, in  tidm 1010 datasheet, there is no information about how to integrate second encoder to hardware.
Also, I couldn't find example code for 2 absolute encoder.
Can you help me how can convert PM_bissc_SystemTes example to use 2 encoder at the same time
and how configure second encoder in tidm 1010?
Best regards.
  • Hello,

    This is a bit confusing.

The hardware (position manager booster pack) can support more than one encoder.  There are connectors on the booster pack marked as such (ex: "Abs-Enc 1" and "Abs-Enc2").  They will connect to different peripherals on the launchpad device.

The BiSS-C demonstration software, however,  is only setup for point-to-point configuration:
