CCSTUDIO-C2000: F280048 C2000 Hex Utility .m00, .m01 and .x00, .x01

Part Number: CCSTUDIO-C2000

Hi Experts,

Could you please teach me if C2000 Hex Utility generates .m00 .m01 and .x00 .x01?
According to www.ti.com/lit/spru513, they seem --motorola=1,2, or3 -m1,2,or 3 Motorola-S1, 2 or 3 and --tektronix -x Tektronix.

I have selected the options below, but only .hex was seen and no .m00, .m01, .x00 nor .x01.  The example code I used was "led_ex1_blinky”

Moreover, is HEX2000.exe workable with F28004x?
If it works, I would like to know if it generates .m00 .m01 and .x00 .x01.

Thank you for your kind help.
Best regards,
Hitoshi

    Hi Experts,

    HEX2000 -m aaaa.out generates aaaa.m00 and aaaa.m01. Is it possible to program them to F28004x through XDS200?
I have tried with UniFlash with XDS100v2, however it shows error as follows:

    Thank you for your check.

  • Sugawara-san,

I have selected the options below, but only .hex was seen and no .m00, .m01, .x00 nor .x01.  The example code I used was "led_ex1_blinky”

*.hex is the default output file extension when enabling hex file generation from CCS, regardless of the format specified. Hence this is expected.

Moreover, is HEX2000.exe workable with F28004x?

    Yes.

If it works, I would like to know if it generates .m00 .m01 and .x00 .x01.

The more important thing is if the hex utility supports both tektronik and motorola hex formats. It does.

    HEX2000 -m aaaa.out generates aaaa.m00 and aaaa.m01. Is it possible to program them to F28004x through XDS200?

Please use the *.hex file generated when hex generation is enabled in CCS. Note that you can also program the *.out file too.

    Thank you
