TMS320F280023C: FCL documentation & implementation of sensorless angle estimator

Customer is using sensorless instaspin library, and trying to integrate instaspin with the FCL code.

1. Is there any other documentation around the FCL code and its formulas and math? (Other than spruij8)

2. Is there an older sensorless angle estimator, like the SMO that could be used with FCL to run a sensorless motor using less cpu cycles that instaspin?

  • 1. This is the only doc available.

    2. Currently there are no examples of FCL with other estimators. However, it may not be a good idea to use FCL and estimators together, because, with FCL when you use high bandwidth control, the errors of the estimator will be amplified to make the system noisy. Nevertheless, the customer is free to try out and see how it performs. May be they can make it better.
