LAUNCHXL-F280049C: How to get started with LAUNCHXL-F280049C AND DRV8320H to read Motor's Parameter

Hi there,

I have LAUNCHXL-F280049C and BOSTXL-DRV8320H motor driver board. I need to read BLDC motor's parameter using instaSPIN FOC or can say run the ID_OUT example(5) from C2000MOTOR SDK.

But I don't know from where to start. I have downloaded CCS, MOTORWARE, C2000Motor SDK and GUI Composer also went to getting started guide and videos. But not able to understood from where to start what are the steps. Pls, provide support for the same.

    Thankyou Navaneeth for you reply. Is there any specific version of CCS (Compiler) is needed to build the codes available in example. Or i can work with latest one.

    Hi Navaneeth; while I'm going trough Labs Manual one my system compiling the code successfully while another one giving these errors. Do you know what went wrong?

    Have CCS and motor control SDK installed in default directories? Hope in both the machines you follow the same process of importing the project.

    yes sir. It is in C:\ti\c2000\C2000Ware_MotorControl_SDK_3_02_00_00 and C:\ti\ccs1040

    I'm just re-installing the CCS and will change workspace location. I think yes there is something related to path error. I will let you know soon. Thanks for the help.

    I have re-installed the MotorSDK and CCS. Also, Changed the workspace location still same errors are showing. Why it is checking at C:\Users\Ankur\AppData\Local\Temp\make6956-12.bat as showing in error.

    Is it a OS error? because this machine is Windows 7 while other with successful compilation is having Windows 10.

    I have seen similar issues before due to gmake access errors. See the below link for more details:

    Note the similar error message in the section that mentions permissions issues with the temp files. Please check your permissions.

    Also, is it only this project that has the error or do you have other projects that fail the same way?

    Hi, thanks for the link. I have tried different things mentioned there yesterday. these errors come with all the projects. I tried with different two machines having windows 10 worked fine for me. I just wanted to know whats the reason behind these errors. Is it a OS error or something else?

    It is very likely something specific to the environment of the PC with the error. Something is interfering with the make process to build the project.

    Are you able to create a new simple project from scratch (like an "empty main") project and build that successfully?

    Hi Ki;

    Actually TI Cloud Agent wasn't also working with machine So I finally decided to change the OS to Windows 10. Now everything is working fine.
