TMS320F28377S: Temperature range

Hi,

I´m using TMS320F28377SPTPT microcontroller to meet customer requirements in terms of peripherals availability. The operating temperature range is specified from -40ºC to 125ºC but customer temperature range requirements are set from -55ºC to 125ºC.

Any available extended temperature range microcontroller meets the peripherals requirements so, I would like to ask if you have performed any test that allows me to confirm that this microcontroller will work properly at -55ºC?

    Roberto,

    We have a -EP variant of this device(-55C to 125C temp range you want) https://www.ti.com/product/TMS320F28377D-EP .  This is the dual core vs the single core you have referenced.  If customer only needs 512kB of flash then I would suggest going this route and not using the 2nd core.

    If the customer needs the full 1MB of flash, then they would need to partition their code across cores, as in the dual core config the 1MB is distributed evenly across both cores, vs the full 1MB on a single core.
