Hello!

Have a some questions about sowtware for the DemoBoard.

1) Why in the new library DCL  formula of transfer function of 2p2z compensator is different with DCP library (DPlib)? Why did you choose it? What is different for software engineer to work with it?

   

2) We read the current from the output of OPA (U2) on the board and there is  the phase lag due the filtering of the signal. Should we compensate it in program? We make similar project and trying to understand the code completely.

    We did change the sign of the a_x parameters in the 2p2z in recent DCL release versions. As part of the change, we also changed the compensation designer output of SFRA tool set and changed to sign too. If you want to port solution from old library to new DCL library, please flip the sign of the a_x parameters.

    For the current sensing signal chain, I don't think there is a LPF that have large phase lag. Can you please point what type of phase lag did you see in measurement and how you made the measurement? We did not do any phase lag compensation in software.

    We were manage to do peak current mode control of the power stage in our software, which made me believe the phase lag is small enough that it will not affect real time control.
