DRV8301-69M-KIT: Motor speed limiting

Hi TI,

We are using a motor of 2KW(48V) which can go up to 4000rpm. But when we set the speed ref to 2000rpm motor is not able to spin more than 1600rpm. We have increased the saturation limit of PI (speed and current) control from _IQ(0.5) to _IQ(0.9) but we couldn't reach the max rpm.

What is limiting the motor to reach the max rpm.

Have you updated the parameters in user.h per your motor and HW?

Yes, we have updated all the parameters in the user.h file for our motor and HW. But for safety precaution, we operated the motor at 50% of max current(i.e. max current is 50A we operated at 25A).

Can you monitor the output voltage, frequency, current when you increase the speed and see where it saturates? Are you testing with load?
