TMS320F280049C: Dual Motor Control Design

Part Number: TMS320F280049C
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LAUNCHXL-F280049C

Hello,

We are currently investigating implementing dual motor control using the 56 (RSH) version of the F280049C MCU, and have a coupe of questions:

1. We have seen lab 11 as a reference for testing the software, but is there a reference design for this type of implementation that we could follow on the hardware side?

2. Given the RSH only has 12 ADC pins, we would need to use an external ADC to sense bus voltage, keeping (phase voltages and currents on the ADCs internal to the MCU). Do you have any references for synchronizing the bus voltage sense with the internal ADCs?

Thanks

  • No specific reference design with F280049C-56(RSH) for dual motor control, you can refer to the Launchxl-f280049c and the related boosterpak to design your own hardware for dual motor control.

It's not necessary for synchronizing the bus voltage sense with the internal ADCs. You just need to sample the dc-bus voltage with the same period as phase voltage.
