Please share the trip zone control module with PWM control. If any event happen trip zone should detect and PWM should be off.

Which module is the best to stop the PWM pulses?

Use the trip zone module in OST mode. It can shut everything off and will remain off until you re-enable it.

Do you know what will be the trigger mechanism to detect the trip zone. I have already design board for the system. How can I trigger the trip zone ? Is there any hard input I need to provide the trip zone pin of soft interrupt can be generated ?

You can use SW. Take a look at the TRM section for all of the source in the TZ module.

Thanks for your reply. I will check what are the practical possibilities. There are lots of options available but when we want to implement and by referring the TRM sometime we will understand exactly and wont get the expected result.

Hello Nima,

Could you please help me how to configure the TZ for all the 12 PWMs. I want disable all the EPWMs on only one TZ detected. I dont want to use any external inputs to trigger the trip zone.

It is possible to do this1? If yes then how to configure. Pls share the example by looking the TRM is not simple to understand and implement. By using external input easily possible but I dont have external inputs in the system. Is there any software way to implement pls share the example code or link.

This is possible.

You configure GPIO as input.

INPUT XBAR - INPUT1 as the GPIO above.

TZ1 = INPUT1

Configure the TZ module to use TZ1.

Set the action for TZ1 event.
