Has TI done any qualification testing on external SDRAM for the TMS320F28386S? Does TI recommend an external SDRAM (Manufacturer P/N) for the TMS320F28386S. I need at least 128 megabits.
Thanks,
Craig

Craig,
No official qualification testing is performed because we assume that the memory standards ensure interoperability.
As far as anecdotal experience goes, there is an EMIF reference design for F2837x in C2000Ware that uses SDRAM:
~\C2000Ware_XXXX\boards\TIDesigns\F28379D_EMIF_DC
A related EMIF appnote includes some information about the board design.
The prototypes used 256Mb AS4C16M16SA-6TIN and IS42S16160J-7TLI successfully. The core EMIF logic is the same between F2837x and F2838x so there should not be any difference in terms of compatibility.

I am unable to find the EMIF reference design for F2837x in C2000Ware, that you mentioned
Maybe the EMIF reference design has been removed (or moved) in later versions of C2000Ware.
Looking a PC where have installed multiple versions of C2000Ware using the CCS Resource Explorer:
Hi Craig, Chester,
I have have C2000Ware_3_01_00_00 and C2000Ware_3_04_00_00 installed and both contain the F28379D_EMIF_DC TID where Tommy indicated. Could there be install options limiting what is downloaded? Nevertheless, please see if you can access it from this location on TI Resource Explorer.
