TMS320F28379D-Q1: Stop generating PWM signals when high dv/dt occurs

Part Number: TMS320F28379D-Q1

Hi Team,

We would like to ask your help regarding our customer's inquiry below.

In my case, I use 28379 control card (bought from mouser) to generate 20 PWM pulses on half bridge GaN device( set up as boost converter with fixed current 20A and voltage 400V).

DSP is powered by standalone battery, code run in flash.

Normally, when dv/dt of boost converter is not that high. 20 PWM pulses could be generated. It's Ok. But when I increase the dv/dt to certain limit, the I could only generated about 10 pulses then DSP stop generating PWM signals!. Adding chokes on PWM cable could improve this.

I think it's larger CM current leads to this problem. But why DSP could not afford this?? I measured only 40mA/1us CM current with current probe.

Regards,

Danilo
