LAUNCHXL-F28379D: Use LAUNCHXL-F28379D & BOOSTXL-3PHGANINV with Hall sensors

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-F28379D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BOOSTXL-3PHGANINV, SFRA, C2000WARE, CONTROLSUITE, C2000WARE-MOTORCONTROL-SDK

Hello,

I want to make an electronic card to drive a BLDC motor, with current reading for each phase, as well as three Hall effect sensors.

The motor will not include an incremental or absolute encoder, only the Hall effect sensors. Wishing to use a Texas Instruments component, the evaluation boards LAUNCHXL-F28379D + BOOSTXL-3PHGANINV seems to suit my needs.

However, the example code provided for this evaluation board (Dual-axis motor control using FCL and SFRA) is designed to work with encoders, not Hall effect sensors.

Is it possible to use the LAUNCHXL-F28379D + BOOSTXL-3PHGANINV to control a single motor with reading of the 3 Hall effect sensors for speed and position servo-control?

If so, are there any software examples using the C2000Ware_MotorControl_SDK library with Hall sensors?

Is there a detailed documentation on the use of the C2000Ware_MotorControl_SDK library?

Thank you in advance for your answers.

Best Regards,

Christophe
