TMS320F280049: Questions about TIDA-010210

Part Number: TMS320F280049
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-010210

Dear Champs,

I have 2 questions about the three phase ANPC topology used in TIDA-010210,

1. I see the netual point of  BUS capacitors and the common node point of input filter's capacitors have connected(as I highlighted in below picture), can you please help me know why? If there some reference paper that discussed about this, that would be perfect.

2. I can't find the source code about this reference design in C2000 digital power skd, can you please help me know how to get it?

Regards,

Jack

  • 1. This is the Neutral point for the 3Ph output and also the GND for the MCU.

    2. The code is not yet released in SDK. It will be sometime Q2 this year. For now this code is in Secure S/W.

  • Shamim,

    Thanks for your support here.

    1. I agree that. As I highlited in the first post, the input filter's capacitor common point has connected with neutral point, what will be happen if I disconnected it?

    2. Another question about LCL filter design, the Rd was connected with Cf serially, does it affect the power conversion efficiency? Can you please share more detail documents about the LCL filter design? Thanks...

  • If you look at the schematic it will not work without that connection. All the voltages are measured by MCU with ref to that GND.

Rd should not impact efficiency much because it does not carry the load current. Rd must be used for passive damping to avoid oscillation.  The LCL filter design has been explained in detail in the UG.
