Need help to create bootloader for TMS320F28374S through SCI connected through RS-485 (sn65hvd1781aqdrq1)

What software I can use for that?

What hardware to use to connect to device?

Is there any code for example? (C2000Ware)

Hello,

The F2837xD SCI Flash kernel examples in C2000Ware, located at C2000Ware_x_xx_xx_xx > device_support > f2837xd > examples > dual > F2837xD_sci_flash_kernels can be used as a secondary SCI bootloader. There is an application note that details the flash kernel design/usage as well: https://www.ti.com/lit/an/sprabv4e/sprabv4e.pdf

I will ask the SCI expert to comment on the HW needed.

Hi Benny,

Please see the following sections in the SCI FAQ, within the Hardware section:

"Incorrect transceiver circuit (assuming that a transceiver is present)."
"Incorrect circuit in SCI-RX/TX path."

These provide some guidance on potential hardware issues that could happen, and how to avoid them.

I would also read the rest of the "Hardware Issue Symptoms and Causes" section, as it has some helpful hardware know-abouts.
