Part Number: TMDSCNCD280049C
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: C2000WARE

Hi C2000 expert

I am trying to use CMPSS to quickly implement the current protection.

And when i configure the Digital Filter of CMPSS module , i meet some touble.

my code about Digital Filter Configuration is under below.

When i just configure only one Digital Filter (High or Low comparator), it works quilt well. But once i configure  both of them, after load the code, there will meet “Break at address "0x3fbd92" ” error.

Please give me any suggestion to solve this。

Best Regards.

  • Hi Suiyang,

Which of the errors below are you getting?

    1. Compile error

    2. Program load error

    3. Program run error

If it is a program run error, can you step through the code and let us know the exact line that fails or the line before the code crashes?

  • Hi Frank

    Thanks for your reply.

    Its Program load error.

When CCS Completely download code to 280049C (the green start button available), The Break at address "0x3fc7a5" ” error will come.(before i click the start button).

Can you give me some further suggestion to figure out what cause that situation.

btw, for verification, i used the example program in c2000ware 4.0.0 about CMPSS Digital Filter ,and simply add the both High/Low  CMPSS Digital Filter configuration ,the code works well,. But in actual project, if i configure Both configuration, then i will get the Break at address "0x3fbd92" ” error .

    Best Regards.

Are you loading code to RAM or FLASH?

Can you give me some further suggestion to figure out what cause that situation.

Did you get any data verification error when you tried to load the program unto the device?

What are the differences between the C2000Ware example and your project. Did you modify the C2000Ware provided linker command file? If so, what changes did you make to it?

  • Hi Frank,

Currently the code run in RAM.

Did you get any data verification error when you tried to load the program unto the device?

What is refer to"data verification error"?How can I confirm the data verification do not have error?, If it related to "Build process", It was no errer exist.

In my project, the CMD file is the example that ti provided, but i simpy modify the RAMLS0 range. Is there have some mistake?

These is the Disassembly file when error comes, and i find the error comes only the  "CMPSS_configFilterHigh(CMPSS3_BASE, 0x2, 10, 7);" statement exist, If i comment out that statement ,like the pic below, the Break at address "0x3fbd92" ” error will not come.

  • Hi,Frank,

Maybe I found what cause my project go wrong, It is about CMD file error.

as I double confirm my CMD file , and i found there exist a problem that the PAGE0 and PAGE1 address have some overlap.Maybe that is why the error occur.

When i modify the CMD file, the project can work Currently.

Thanks a lot for your help.If there still have some trouble , i will back to here and consult with you.

Hope you have a nice day.

    Best Regards.
