TMDSSOLARUINVKIT: Confusion regarding MAX PV Sense value in solar kit example in controlSuite.

Part Number: TMDSSOLARUINVKIT

Hi,

This is regarding PV voltage sense for TMDSSOLARUINVKIT.

The resistance divider before the isolation amplifier AMC1200SDUB provides a gain of 0.006(120/(19.6K+120)

This means  differential input to the AMC is 138*0.006 = 839mV

This value is greater than 250mV which is given as maximum input voltage for the AMC in the datasheet.

As replied in previous thread, the PV panel voltage will not be more than 45V, hence AMC will not see more than 250mV.

My confusion is regarding the pragma PV_VOL_SENSE_MAX defined in SolarMicroInv-Settings.h in control suite.

Line 65 of SolarMicroInv-Settings.h defines the pragma as 138V.

#define PV_VOL_SENSE_MAX 138.0

I wanted to know why max PV sense is taken as 138V in the code.

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Mukul
