TMS320F280041: updating of ePWM duty cycle without CPU intervention

I have a requirement to update the duty cycle of a ePWM output in a ramp from 0 to 100% in 1 millisecond. Is there a way of doing this without requiring the CPU to update the compare registers on an interrupt-driven basis?

You can use the CLA if your dont want to use the CPU. Doing it in interrupt on CPU still requries CPU to move the data into and out of the EPWM regs.

Hi Nima,

The part we are using (TMS320F280041) does not have a CLA. Is there any other way of offloading the responsibility from the CPU?

You should still have a DMA and the DMA has access to EPWM registers. Have you thought about using DMA?
