Hi Shantanu:
Thank you for your reply. I want to make a final confirmation. Which of the following three methods runs fastest?
uint16 a,b
float c
1, a=IQtoF(IQ(b*c));
2, a=b* IQ(c) >> GLOBAL_Q;
3, a=b*c;
Best regards,
Green
Hi,
Sorry for the late response. I was out on sick leave.
The three options are different. 1 gives a floating result and the other two type case into integer. THe three are not comparable. OPtion 3 will be faster due to less overhead.
