Hi experts,

My customers have multiple cases of 28377 (clearly identified as 28377) programing abnormally, They thought the issue is with the chip. We need your assistance in analyzing the cause. Thanks.

1, production line failure: .the production line can be programed successfully via C2Prog, but the DSP will not run after power up and failed to program the application code.

2: Put into the market for a period of time and found out that it failed, returning about 10PCS. If pull boot low with C2Prog, can burn successfully, but DSP will not run after power up, unable to burn application codes. .

They did following tests:

1. check crystal, reset and power are all OK.

2. ABA test.

Hi Angelina,

1. To program fresh parts, boot mode pins should be configured for wait boot.

2. For the application to run from flash after the power cycle, the boot mode pins should be configured for flash boot.

Can you confirm the above two in this case?

3. When you say the application fails, is there any reset occurrence (toggle on XRSn)?

Hi Vamsi,

As the product has been mass production for a long time, and the failure is only occurred on several chips, could we suppose the design is no problem? The point 1 and 2 could be confirmed?

Hi Angela,

There is no any change in the device as well. Hence, suggested to check on those items.

Did you look at the PCN FAQ and ensure that they are using the appropriate versions for CCS and UniFlash?
