TMDSHVMTRINSPIN: Question about ShtDwn signal

Part Number: TMDSHVMTRINSPIN
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MOTORWARE

Dear team:

My customer want to know what is the trigger condition of ShtDwn (The red box in the image below)?

When the customer uses the routine test, every time the high voltage is applied, the signal will become 3.3V, but he has no problem with the GUI test.

Best regards

  • It's over current input signal for the power module, the power module will shut down if the input voltage is over a threshold voltage. please ask the customer to take a look at the datasheet of the power module.

  • Hi Yanming:

The customer uses 200V/1A DC power supply for power supply, and does not use AC power supply.

After the customer operates according to the experimental manual under the path of MotorWare\motorware_1_01_00_18\docs\labs, the motor cannot be started when the lab1b is running, that is, the overcurrent protection will occur once the high voltage is applied.

    What could be the cause?

    Best regards

  • Please ask your customer to take a look at the hardware guide of the high voltage kit, and follow it to set the kit.

And don't add any load on the motor ro run the lab01b, tune the variables to set the right v/f profile according to the spec. of the motor.
